Academic calendar is a schedule of all of the events that occur in an academic year. The class coordinator prepares the Academic Calendar well in advance and is displayed on the notice board so that students will be aware of the upcoming events of the institute.
Master Plan is an Overall plan of rotation of all students in a particular educational institution, showing the placement of the students belonging to a nursing programme which includes both theory and practice denoting the study block, partial block, placement of student in clinical blocks, team nursing, examinations, vacation, co-curricular activities etc. The same is prepared well in advance and is displayed on the notice board so that students will be aware of the upcoming events of the institute.
Clinical Rotation Plan is the statement which explains the order of the clinical posting of various group of nursing students belonging to different classes in relevant clinical areas and community health settings as per the requirements laid down by the statutory bodies. Before commencement of Academic Session, the Clinical rotation plan of each Program is prepared based on Program Outcome.
Course Plan/Unit Plan/Lesson PlanA lesson plan prepared by the HOD/Class coordinator which elaborates, basically, on objectives of a particular lesson and how teaching is planned in a way to achieve those objectives. A unit plan, on the other hand is prepared by subject teacher, covers a wider area; a unit that can include many lessons. Furthermore, a unit plan includes goals broken down in terms of lessons, the outline of the content intended to cover and cross-curricular references, etc. A lesson plan is usually prepared by the teacher who teaches that particular lesson the class.
Mentor & Mentee Scheme (Student mentoring system)The Student mentoring system is introduced in the College. All the Teachers are involved in the process of mentoring. Every mentor is allotted with about 20 to 30 students to take care of them depending upon the program and division. Every mentor prepares a list of all the students allotted to him / her with details of Name, Class, Division. The mentor has a chalked-out responsibilities to take care of all the mentees such as to provide them career counseling, to provide them personal counseling, to support them for any kind of difficulty in their curriculum, to make provision of remedial coaching for them and to always support them as and when required.
The mentor also works for finding out hidden talent of the students in various aspects of academic, co – curricular, extra – curricular and extra mural activities so that they can be promoted to do various activities in the concerned area for their holistic development. The mentor also contacts and meets the parents of his / her mentees to discuss their progress and / or any other matter, as and when required.

The primary goal of the Child Health Nursing Department is to provide high-quality education that is geared towards promoting excellence in the promotion and maintenance of child care through varied initiatives in practice, education, and research. In order to develop exemplary experts and expand their ability to work autonomously in the field of comprehensive child care, the students are given access to curriculum enrichment courses and innovative teaching learning processes.
• Attendance criteria remains the same as per the other courses i.e. in principle, a student is expected to attend all the mentor sessions. The attendance should be more than 75% - whatever may be the circumstances.
• If a student is absent in a mentor session, ask him/her the reason for the absence in the next mentor session. If a student is absent in two consecutive mentor sessions, convey it to parents. Tell them that if students are absent, it breaks continuity of the session’s discussions.
• Mentors should update the student profile on timely basis.
• Students should maintain a dedicated Notebook for mentoring sessions to take notes. At the end of every session, the Mentor may like to give a glance through and sign it.
• Language is not a bar. The students may speak in English, Hindi, or their mother- tongue.
