Objectives

• Promote nursing research activities by facilitating the development and maintenance of research interest among students and staff.

• Provide a forum for discussion study/ research project, conducted by students and staff.

• Support the need for evidenced based practice and activities that facilitate the appropriate transfer of best evidence and practice.

• Promote collaboration among the members in their research related activities.

• Conducting regular UG/PG research/ project presentation.

• Assist and review in refining the research proposals.

• Provide research consultation when appropriate.

• Appraise the research activities of the students periodically.

INSTITUTIONAL ETHICS COMMITTEE

Ethics is the most significant element of the academic activities in teaching and research. Teaching and research forms a novel combination of knowledge transfer which needs freedom to express the knowledge. The Ethics Committee (Human Studies) for Nursing courses in Rashtrasant Janardhan Swami College of Nursing, Kopargaon was constituted to protect the rights, safety, and well- being of the research participants.

Objectives:

• To create academic awareness about responsible conduct of research, study, project work, assignment, thesis, dissertation, promotion of academic integrity- and prevention of misconduct including plagiarism in academic writing among students, researchers, faculty- and other members of academic staff as well as any employee of institution.

• To establish institutional mechanism through education and training to facilitate responsible conduct of research, study, project work, assignment, thesis, dissertation, promotion of academic integrity and deterrence from plagiarism.

• To develop systems to detect plagiarism and to setup mechanisms to prevent plagiarism and punish a student, faculty, or staff of institution committing the act of plagiarism.
